Advisory on significant rains and storms

The Embassy bring to the notice of the concerned Indian nationals the PREVENTION NOTICE ON SIGNIFICANT RAINS AND STORMS THAT AFFECTED PANAMA ON 20 JULY.
 
Panama, July 22, 2022. The National Civil Protection System (Sinaproc) communicates that it maintains monitoring and surveillance for the incursion of Tropical Tropical Wave #20 in our country during the next few hours.
 
A fairly unstable atmosphere is expected over the provinces and regions of the Panamanian territory, which will be causing downpours and storms in various sectors of the country, according to forecasts by the Hydrometeorological Directorate of the Electricity Transmission Company SA, (Etesa).
 
Sinaproc warns that all provinces, regions and maritime areas of the country are under notice until July 25, 2022.
 
We are entering the rainiest months of the season (August-November 2022), so the following recommendations are reiterated:
 
Avoid crossing or bathing in rivers and streams.
Do not risk your life with reckless behavior.
